Limax
Limax is the quarterly journal of the Nuova Specie Association and LAMStudium (Laboratory of the Anthropology of Change and Humanistic Studies), which began from the collaboration between the Department of Sociological Theory of the “Carlo Bo University” of Urbino and the Centre for Social Medicine of the University Hospital Trust "Ospedali Riuniti" in Foggia.
Limax began life in 1995 and gets its name from the limax agrestis, or common snail, which is the symbol of the MaS Method.
Over the years, Limax has published the thoughts, drawings and articles contributed by people of all ages, social and professional backgrounds, and numbered 160-180 pages in the 2007 issues.
Limax is a special publication:
- It deals with disagio diffuso or “widespread malaise” and the new methods of regeneration for “health and wholeness”;
- Anyone on the journey towards health and wholeness can contribute to it, with no exceptions, special privileges, censure, differences in role and power;
- It is timeless, because the contributions and articles are based on the emotional experiences; over time it becomes a live memory offering new stimuli and taking you to new depths of inner knowledge.
- It refuses financial sponsorship from the pharmaceutical industry or any other company and receives no funding from public or private organisations.
Limax will be published for as long as there are people willing to subscribe to it and sponsor it through support activities.
Limax is a river formed spontaneously from the many waterways that flow into it, right up until just a few days before the press closing date. Many people have written about their own personal experiences and have had the satisfaction of seeing their contributions in print and appreciated by the other readers. This is a wonderful characteristic that is not found in other editorial experiences.
