Why we love the snail

The snail represents ordinary people that no one would normally notice, other than in special circumstances.
In fact, the aim of the MaS Method is to enable ordinary people to overcome difficulties and suffering and go back to expressing their own specific natures.

lumaca Moreover, the snail is a modest and frugal animal: it carries everything it needs on its back (this represents the fact that each of us holds the potential and resources to stay whole and healthy).

The snail is also hermaphrodite, that is, it incorporates both the male and female of its species. Indeed, it is important to be essential on the road to regeneration.

The snail moves slowly... at a snail’s pace! And it moves over all terrains.. If we want to regenerate our health and wellbeing, we should go with the pace of life, which is slow.
Moreover, every person starts from a different point and moves at a different pace, going through all the necessary phases of regeneration.

Lastly, snails leave a trace of where they have been and the journey they have travelled.
The MaS Method believes that it is fundamental to keep an historical memory of who we are and what we have been. This is so we can go back and retrace our steps once a certain part of the journey has been completed, and return to the theory that was produced from it. It is also a way of ensuring that our experiences can contribute to “global” reseach, to be be preserved and transmitted as part of the “common ground” .
